My hectic but educational day

My day was really hectic yesterday starting at 6:20 when Tom was off to work. I did a lot of stuff prior to taking Madi to preschool just before 10:00 including the delivery and set up of a new washer. At this point, as early as it seemed for a coke, I needed one and knew that there was more chores waiting for me at home. So, off to 7-11 I went. I got the much needed caffeine in liquid form and then realized as I walked past the donut case that I hadn't eaten breakfast and was hungry. Again, not the best choice but a donut could be consumed in the car before I reached the front door to my home. I bought the coke and donut and inhaled it as I drove. When I got home ready to do a weeks worth of laundry, noticed that the new washer needs "HE" detergent, of which I did not have. Back in the car, off to the store. I bought a several items, had a nice conversation with the cashier and loaded them in the car. CRAP, forgot what I came for, the detergent, went back in the store for purchase #2. Bought the detergent and had another conversation with a different cashier and went back to the car. As I was getting my seat belt fastened and situating myself in the drivers seat, I caught my reflection in the rear view mirror. CRAP, CRAP, CRAP!!! Here is where I notice that I have glazed donut ALL over my face. You would have thought that I had never eaten before. I just stared at myself, this really just happened. I had two full conversations with two different people, not to mention the other hundred I had passed in the store, that did not tell me I have something (apparently a whole donut) on my face! Have you had a similar experience?
Here is what I learned from the donut on face while shopping experience.........
1. The cashier(s) are not my friends. Friends tell you when your face is dirty. (I read that quote last week and knew that it applied to me yesterday)
2. I serve people a few nights a week, and if the chance comes about I will be the person, I needed yesterday and tell them that they have food on their face.
3. Donuts are messy and should be consumed carefully.
and last but not least,
4. Check face after eating a donut and before leaving home to go to the grocery store.

I certainly was at my best yesterday, hopefully today is better, no donuts, no grocery store.

Educational, for sure! I'd better be sure to wipe the powdered donut off my face before I head to Walmart today....

Thanks for the great laugh!!

Be thankful it wasn't a chocolate or jam filled one.
