Summer........ramblings

I am READY for summer. The weather is nice, my tulips are blooming and my flower beds are weeded. I don't mind yard work when it is done. I like to see the fruits of our labors, however I feel it for a few days afterward. Who knew weeding was exercise.

We stopped in and bought a new mattress for the bed in our trailer last night. Then measured to see if it would fit. NOPE! Cancel mattress purchase! Crap, I was looking forward to comfy sleep while in the mountains this summer. Apparently mattresses are not standard size and need to be ordered, which also means they are not cheap. I guess I know where part of the tax refund is going. Also, I will measure first next time, I hate getting my hopes up for nothing. Although, it has given me the camping bug. I am ready to go. The girls have been asking for a couple of months when we would be heading out the first time. I can't say when exactly but soon I hope. And my fishing pole is getting lonely out in the garage. Time to bust that out as well.

I can't believe that school is almost out for the summer. It will be here before we know it. I think my girls are done the first week of June which is only 5 1/2 weeks away. I am excited to not have to worry about bed times and homework and getting up early.

We haven't made it to see Mickey and Minnie yet. So that is one more thing to look forward to. The girls will have so much fun. I am excited to see all of their reactions to the Wonderful land of Disney.

I got my very first official cupcake order the other day. I never pass up a chance to bake so when a lady in our ward called I couldn't turn her down. My mind is racing with things to do. She gave me free reign to make what I want but I am going to fit it into her theme. I am thrilled for the reaction from the recipients.

I think it is going to be a good summer. Can't wait to see what all it brings!
