The other day, I started making Mac-n-cheese for the girls for lunch. I put the water on the stove to boil the water and got side tracked. I had been cleaning all morning and decided it was time to bathe before it got any later in the day. I got in the tub, and THEN remembered the water on the stove. At this point I was already in the tub, and didn't want to get out. I asked Jaidyn if she wanted to make the mac and cheese. She was elated to say the least.
She boiled the noodles, drained the water and added the ingredients to the pan. She was so excited that I was letting her do it herself ( with a little help from Madi). I just walked her through it step by step. She kept telling Madi to stay back she was trying to cook and Madi was in her way. She was such the grown up. Needless to say it took about ten minutes longer than it should have but in the end, there was hot cheesey goodness in a bowl.

Yeah -- Good for her! She looks very proud!
Jaidyn looks so big! Maybe her cooking her own meals isn't a bad idea!!

If I hadn't just talked to Steph and heard her say that Jaidyn really was 8 I would never have believed it. No way are these your kids! They are soooo big. How fun and how happy I am to be able to keep up a little more, I'm sorry I'm so horrible at that. You guys look great!
